Public stewardship
Protect local authority and taxpayer trust.
Every decision starts with communities in mind. We respect local control, protect public dollars, and design programs that stand up to scrutiny.
How we show up in public service and program design.
Protect local authority and taxpayer trust.
Every decision starts with communities in mind. We respect local control, protect public dollars, and design programs that stand up to scrutiny.
Enforce clear rules and ethical conduct.
Rules are written in plain language, applied consistently, and backed by fair processes so everyone knows where they stand.
Publish data and decisions for accountability.
We document how decisions are made, share data openly, and invite questions so trust is earned, not assumed.
Serve those who run the programs.
We design for program administrators: clear workflows, fewer headaches, and tools that match how the work actually gets done.
Real-world tools over theory.
We focus on what works in the field: templates, checklists, and guidance that can be used on Monday morning, not just in a report.
Partner broadly, keep our own voice.
We work with cities, states, advocates, and industry while keeping an independent perspective rooted in public interest.
Include smaller and underserved projects.
Our standards and tools are built so small communities, new market entrants, and underserved projects are not left out.
